On thursday, November 19, at 20.00, Dejan Anastasijevic will be hosting ‘The Balkans and Europe’, a meeting that is part of a series organized by deBuren and Passa Porta. Anastasijevic is a Serbian investigative journalist and publicist. Persecuted by the Belgradian authorities, he and his family were forced to flee their country.
Anastasijevic currently lives in Brussels as an ICORN guest writer. He
is the first ICORN resident of the Passa Porta house of literature.
During the debates in this series, writers from former Yugoslavia and the Low
Countries look into stereotypical images of Europe and the Balkans.
Guest speakers for this second edition are the prize winning, Serbian
author Vladimir Arsenijević and the internationally acclaimed
‘post-Yugoslav’ writer, Dubravka Ugresic.
