Exile is a harsh experience for many writers. But what consequences does living in exile have for their writing? Some can only write about what was impossible to write about at home when far from that home, achieving a literary form only at a distance. But is it not also possible for that home to acquire a faraway image, becoming a myth, a legend, preventing new experiences in exile? A discussion on different ways of dealing with exile.
