freedom of expression

Declared a ‘prophet’ by TIME magazine, John Ralston Saul is included in the prestigious Utne Reader’s list of the world’s 100 leading thinkers and visionaries. His works have been translated into 22 languages in 30 countries. Saul is also the President of International PEN, a network organisation that strives for freedom of expression. Our other guest is Dejan Anastaijevic, a Serbian research journalist finding refuge in ICORN-city Brussels. Dejan started his career as war correspondent in Vukovar (1991) and Bosnia (1992). He writes for the Serbian magazine Vreme, but also for Time Magazine and the Guardian.

This evening they will talk on freedom of expression, the consequences when this freedom is lacking and how we can assure this freedom. Bjarte Vandvik, Secratary General of the European Council of Refugee & Exiles, will moderate the evening.
