On 25 September, Ilya Troyanov opened the new Passa Porta season with a unique reflection on literature and society.
Troyanov is a Bulgarian-German writer. Via Yugoslavia and Italy, he and his family fled to Germany, where they received political asylum. As a traveller between worlds, cultures and religions, he has come up with an intriguing lecture on the age-old phenomenon of migration. Ilya Troyanov also wrote the succesful novel, The Collector of Worlds.
The lecture can be read in its entirety right here at Shahrazad - stories for life.
