ICORN, the International Cities of Refuge Network, began recruiting member cities to host persecuted writers in 2006. Over 25 cities from Europe and beyond have since joined. We now have the pleasure of inviting you to celebrate ICORN becoming an independent, international organisation from 1 January 2010.
The festive event will take place at the Free Word Centre in London on Thursday 7 January at 8pm, in the company of ICORN's executive board, ICORN guest writers and invited guests from UK and abroad.
ICORN's Shahrazad - stories for life project will present short readings by ICORN writers Mansur Rajih (Yemen/Stavanger), Pegah Ahmadi (Iran/Frankfurt), Sihem Bensedrine (Tunisia/Barcelona) and Vice President of International PEN Moris Farhi.
Host of the night:
Ursula Owen, publisher, founder of Free Word Centre.
